How
to Promote Your Celtic Band IN THE MAGAZINE AND PODCAST
Cost-efficient way to promote
your band or label
with the Celtic Music Magazine
The Celtic Music Magazine is a free newsletter
that goes out to over 21,000 Celtic music-lovers every month. I receive scores of emails from bands begging to be featured, but Space is extremely limited.
How to Get Featured in the Magazine or Irish & Celtic Music Podcast
Put CELTIC SUBMIT - YOUR BAND NAME in the subject line.
I can accept up to 15MB per email via Gmail. So 2-3 MP3s in each email is fine.
For a better chance of being featured in the podcast, please mail or upload a CD too.
How to Submit Your Music If you would also like your CD reviewed, please mail a copy of your CD to
Celtic Music Magazine
c/o Marc Gunn
2417 Wine Ridge Dr
Birmingham, AL 35244
or even better, upload your full album via an ftp program to:
ftp.marcgunn.com
l: faire@marcgunn.com
p: faire
Email me using the address above to let me know you uploaded music.
IMPORTANT! Please make sure you include proper ID3 tags with your MP3 submissions. You can use a program like iTunes to edit the MP3s or I use Stamp ID3 Tag Editor. Or just rip your CD. Make sure the Artist and Album Name are included.
Celtic Musician News
Occasionally, I have gig possibilities, podcast opportunities and more that I want to share with Celtic musicians. This newletter is designed for you who are interested in receiving opportunities. You will receive no more than one announcement per month. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Submit
to Our Celtic Compilation CD
We release only one compilation per year (if that often). All tracks added to the compilation WILL be featured. Plus, a portion of the proceeds benefit Celtic non-profits.
Link to CelticMP3s.com I like to help bands who like to help me. Add a link. When you are done, tell me where your link is.
Follow Up with Us Please drop me an email in a couple weeks to follow up on your submission.
Post Your News on Facebook
I started the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast page to promote the podcast and for you to promote your music. So post your latest news every month.
Call Us at ( 678) CELT-POD
That's 678-235-8763. Leave a message saying something like
"This is Paddy Maloney of the band Celtic Stone. You're listening to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast".
Feel free to be creative!
And if you want to send a higher quality MP3 version, we'd LOVE to accept that as well.
Mail or Upload a full-length CD.
I only need singles to play in the podcast. However, one way I pick artists to be played is by hitting random play on my iTunes. The more music you have in my iTunes, the better your chances of being played.
Send me a CD or two. Remember to re-submit with each new album.
Read the Celtic Music Magazine
Each issue has ideas designed to help promote indie Celtic musicians. There are ways that you and your fans can get involved and make you more popular through the magazine and podcast. So read it, and share it with your fans.
Submit to Other Celtic Podcasts
We are friends with a number of Celtic podcasts like the Cleveland Celtic Podcast and the Celtic Folk Podcast. If you would like additional exposure of your music, then submit to those podcasts as well.
Do You Need a Bar Code for Your CD?
I would love to supply you with your very own bar code for your album or single.
It's a service I provide to all musicians. Just $15 for CDs and $5 for singles.
