The Original Celtic Renaissance music group from Austin, Texas offering free Celtic mp3 downloads. They perform a unique style of music combining Scottish and Irish folk songs with music inspired by the Lord of the Rings, performed on non-traditional instruments. In just five years, they've completed six studio albums and performed coast-to-coast. Ask their fans, and they'll tell you The Bards are just plain 'fun!' Bard Marc Gunn is a folk music singer & songwriter performing traditional Irish and Scottish songs on autoharp. Performing with the Brobdingnagian Bards helped to renew his love of the traditional folk songs of Ireland and Scotland. He is a songwriter with a passion for writing romantic songs and ballads that make the listener become a part of the story, swept away in the fantasy images of the song.

Black 47
Black 47 came together in 1989 playing a benefit concert for a political activist. Since then Black 47 has been at the forefront of Celtic scene as one of the most controversial bands around and the biggest secret in great Celtic rock, recording eight albums combining an eclectic mix of rock, reggae, hip-hop and downtown noise fused with Irish traditional music.

Blue Knight
James Gilchrist performs with his band Blue Knight in NYC's village, incorporating gypsy/Celtic folk influences and lots of vocal harmonies into his music. Think David Gray meets the Corrs and they put on a midnight show with Loreena McKennitt.

Boys of the Lough
The first of the full-time professional Celtic bands to arise on the international scene - Boys of the Lough - now occupy a unique position of respect in the world of traditional music. They have completed fifty-one tours of the USA and recently celebrated their 30th anniversary as a band.

Eileen Hadidian
Eileen Hadidian has appeared in concert throughout the Western United States. She is the founder as well as artistic director of Hausmusik, an early music concert series in Albany, CA. Her involvement with music for healing grew out of her own experience with breast cancer, in 1994 and again in 1997. She used music for her own healing, and began to play for other cancer patients. She has been exploring ways in which music can be used to help soothe critically and chronically ill people.

Hugh Morrison
Born in Wick, in the far north of Scotland, Hugh Morrison served his musical apprenticeship with the Tain Scottish Dance Band and quickly made his name as an exponent of the three-row button key accordion. Recorded in Houston, Texas, where he is now based, this album shows that Hugh still retains his taste for Scottish and Celtic music and hasn't lost his touch on the button box.

Jean Redpath
Jean Redpath was born in Scotland. At the University of Edinburgh, she discovered the School of Scottish Studies which collects and preserves the oral traditions of Scotland. In 1961, she arrived in the United States and through series of "accidents" shared quarters with several legends of the '60s folk revival including Bob Dylan. An appearance in a hootenanny brought the offer of a booking and won her rave reviews in the New York Times.
