"I
found your site, Celtic MP3's.com, while looking for a source of Celtic music
online. I am a writer (aka Amy Busby) and most of my stories involve Scotland
or Ireland in one way or another. I have found it easier to write if I am listening
to celtic music and you site has been a great help!" -Amy Shultz, Arizona
I know... Considering
this MAY be the last issue of the year, I should have much more Christmas or New
Years music. But I just haven't had time for a big search. I'm heading out next
weekend for Italy which has me running ragged. Meanwhile,
MP3.com is making some big changes that will affect artist payback...or rather
remove it. So expect more changes and tougher to find free MP3s. But you'll still
find them here. But I'm not sure what's gonna happen to the stations yet? We'll
see. I do
want to take a moment to commend Emerald
Rose who released a new MP3.com album last week and has their music soaring
up the charts past the Brobdingnagian Bards and Lothlorien. _____________________________________SPONSOR__________

Heather Dale is a modern Celtic singer-songwriter who writes songs
inspired by ancient legends and Renaissance life. Influenced by artists like Loreena
McKennitt, Clannad, Enya, Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Sarah McLachlan,
she combines all these influences with the Legends of King Arthur to create some
absolutely beautiful music. One
thing great about Heather Dale is that being a member of the Society for Creative
Anachronisms, she's very interested in the history behind songs and not just the
songs as we know them. For her latest album, "This Endris Night", Heather
dug deep to learn a lot about the songs she was singing. "Veni,
Veni, Emmanuel", for instance, was a carol following the oldest style of
all these songs. It builds on the tradition in 9th c. antiphon poems of using
a different name for Jesus in each verse. The 13th c. tune is plainchant, the
most common form of Medieval church singing. Once you listen, you'll quickly understand
why I hold everything that Heather Dale does in high esteem. The music and ethereal
vocals are breath-taking. Expect to see hear a lot more from this talented, young
artist.
The
album that started a brilliant collection of Celtic Christmas favorites from Windham
Hill records. Features many contemporary and traditional pieces from people like
Loreena McKennit, Triona Ní Dhomhnaill, Kevin Burke, Donal Lunny, Altan,
John Cunningham and many more. The album provides warmth for a cold Christmas
and stands as magical as Celtic music can be. It is a hauntingly beautiful collection
of songs that should be a part of every Celtic music lovers repetoire.

Music Band Feature Visit the artist's homepage by
clicking the link above I met members
of Fathom at I-Con in New York. They are a fantastic Celtic Rock band combining
modern rock guitar and drums with the traditional Celtic sounds of mandolin and
fiddle, for a truly unique sound. Next
week, "The Two Towers hits the silver screen! And as a special preview, I
bring you Fathom's latest single. Entitled "The Two Towers", the song
is an epic piece that crosses several different genres in this 10-minute song!
The song combines folk music with sorta "other-worldly" sounds to give
the different perspectives of the characters in the story. Though it's kinda a
rough cut, it sounds fantastic! Perfect start to the upcoming movie!
