"Irish Rover" by Darren Mullins
Darren Mullins began his musical career playing the oldies of the 1950s and 19 60s. Since then, he has branched out into other genres of music, most notably Irish standards. His shows feature a mix of old time rock and roll classics as well as songs such as The Irish Rover and The Black Velvet Band.
Shiny! The Persephone Pickers are a mixture of musicians from California who come together to perform, record and celebrate all things Firefly and Serenity-like. The musical language used in the show Firefly caught their attention, so they created a CD for all the Browncoats out there. Give it a listen. And keep flying!
Celtic Cross brings quite a legacy of Irish-American heritage to their music. Growing up with Irish immigrant parents, the band was immerced in Irish music, dance, and tradition. Still, that wasn't all they listened to. And soon, rock and roll and the radio brought about it's infuence as well which developed into their own unique style: pop and Americana with a dash of Irish flare.
The band was founded by three siblings, inluding the lead vocalist of the seven-piece band, Kathleen Fee, and her two brothers Kenny and John.
Celtic Cross is an entertaining musical experience that brings about traditional music and contemporary style. Their performances are an event that gets the audience up on their feet and feeling the energy and passion in the music. Their music is not to be missed.
She's a singer, a composer, an arranger, a performer and a producer. Walking in the footsteps of the women who inspired her, Ceallach likens her talents to those of Enya and Loreena McKennitt. Her Celtic New Age music also tends to lean on World and Classical music as well. Ceallach has released two singles: "She Walks In Beauty," based off of the poem by Lord Byrons, as well as "For We are Many," a song that would be well-suited for a soundtrack for a feature film. With "Canterbury," Ceallach gives us a haunting filmscore. Her talent is amazing. Great things are coming for this Australian singer/composer.

A relatively new band, MojoKelt isn't just to be passed off as the newest faces in the Celtic music realm. Their music is an interesting blend of traditional Celtic folk music and rock drums with a touch of funk base. In fact, MojoKelt has created a sound that has not been heard in traditional music since bands like Planxty, the Bothy Band and others left the music scene. With driving melodies and rhythms combined with their sensitive and subtle way of playing, MojoKelt are not only developing their sound, but ensuring their continued success throughout the coming months and years.
