Slainte was formed in 1993, consisting of the most veteran group of musicians in Catalonia. Even some top musicians have been a part of the band.
Slainte means "health" in Irish and Scottish gaelic. And this band gives a healthy dose of music to the Celtic music industry. Over the years, their music has evolved without losing the magic of the acoustic and Atlantic sound that characterizes their style. Their music is centered in the most frenetic dances and beautiful songs of Ireland and Scotland, but it roams into other traditions as well - each flavored with their own original arrangements.
