The
Rogues High-energy
bagpipe fusion band
Smokin'
bagpipes and driving percussion make for a unique sound. Arrangements incorporate
traditional, rock, bluegrass, and a little jazz and new age. There's nothing else
like it. If
you saw us at Texas Ren Fest this year, you might've also seen this killer Houston
pipe and drum band... Bad description. Yes, there are two bagpipers and two bodrans,
but they are so much more. They're a band that are equally at home in a stadium
as in atmospheric deficiencies of space, or a Renaissance Festival. Check out
"Holy Moly", "Pipes in Space" and "Cullen Anderson"
from their MP3.com website. You'll see what I mean. Their
fame and popularity are growing daily, and it looks like we'll get to enjoy their
company again this summer when we head up to the Mid-Missouri Renaissance Festival.
If you don't like bagpipe bands. Take a listen. They might just change your mind. New
Addition: I
know. I already told you all about this incredible Pipe and Drum band, but there's
new news. Namely, that The Rogues have a new album out. It's called "V.O", and
it is fantastic. Both Andrew and I listened to it and were blown away with the
production as well as the all around fun of the album. If you never cared for
bagpipes before, get ready to learn to love them.
