Soul are popular throuhout the South-West. Cilette Swann (Canadian) on vocals
and Roman Morykit (British) on bass and guitar. All four of their critically acclaimed
CDs highlight the band's trademark Celtic-inspired folk/pop/rock sound. Their
lush, sensual music has been likened to Sarah McLachlan, Loreena McKennitt, Shawn
Colvin, Bonnie Raitt and The Eurythmics. They
currently have four albums to their credit and a brand new DAM CD, 'Somewhat Acoustic'.
Their latest album is Superstition Highway, which includes the song True
Love (Scarborough Fair) which was #1 in the Folk charts. They have previously
held #3 overall on MP3.com with the song Test of Time. Their
music has aired over 25 times on shows on all the major TV Networks, including
the season-finale of the hit NBC TV show, "Providence", "The Young
and The Restless" and Life Time TV's Melissa Etheridge hosted show, "Beyond
Chance". Gypsy Soul has toured internationally as headliners and have also
opened for Grammy winners: Larry Klein & Toni Childs, John Taylor (Duran,
Duran), Los Lobos, Martin Page & Beth Neilsen-Chapman (CMA winner). Their
music has received great critical acclaim in many entertainment & trade magazines
including: Billboard, Album Network, Bass Player, the Raygun Publications: Huh
and Bikini, Music Connection, Totally Adult, BAM, and numerous others. They have
twice received the coveted "Top 12 DIY Recordings" feature in Performing
Songwriter Magazine. Gypsy Soul was also chosen as winner/runner-up in the 1998
Lilith Fair competitions in San Francisco.
