Celtic MP3 ArchiveWelcome to the Celtic MP3s Archive and thank you for subscribing to the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine. Below you will find Celtic MP3s from bands I've featured over the years. Some MP3s are time sensitive. So download them now. All of the latest MP3s are available for at least a month. As always, if you like an MP3, then please help the artist out and buy their CD. "Spancil Hill" by Straight Furrow
A UK three piece with a powerful mix of traditional Irish and original tunes and songs. Haunting aires to raise the hair on your neck and rip-roaring dance music get your feet tapping.
I've listened to Straight Furrow's instrumental MP3s for a while, but somehow I missed their songs. "Spancil Hill" is a marvelous upbeat and grooving version of Michael Considine's immigrant ballad. You can definitely hear Straight Furrow's Fairport Convention influences, but it's the fair straight forward, honest folk sound that admire most from this barndance band. They've been a hit online and are once again a new hit in my book of great Celtic folk music! Hometown: Dereham, Norfolk, England Similar Artists: Renaissance, Fairport Covention, Steeleye Span, Mike Oldfield Website: Straight Furrow Download MP3: "Spancil Hill" Buy CD: "Free Time"
