Bard
Marc Gunn is best known as the singer and autoharpist for the Brobdingnagian Bards.
Marc was a folk singer/songwriter before The Bards were formed. Soul
of a Harper features music recorded by Marc in between Brobdingnagian Bards
albums from 2000-2003. It features his beautiful vocal balladry and unique style
of autoharping. Warm and quieting with a touch of bardic fun, Soul of a Harper
captures the feel of a traditional harper with an autoharp. Just
a week after it was released, it was chosen by Austin radio's Celtic Storm as
one of the best Celtic albums of 2003. If
you enjoy original Celtic songwriting or traditional Celtic ballads, you will
love this inspiring album by one of Texas' loved Celtic songwriters.
Reviews:
"a delightfully homespun collection of instrumentals and songs about dwarves and elves, rebels and Ireland, and trad a capella such as 'My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose.'" Austin Chronicle
"one of best folk singers you'll hear" John Wilmott, Celtic Ways
"I wanted to let you know I love the album. Your voice is wonderful...perfection." Stacy Dunaway, TX
